The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is today embarking on a two-day visit to the Upper West Region.
As part of the President’s schedule, he will pay a courtesy call on the Wa-Na today. He is also scheduled for radio interview on Radio Upper West during the visit.
The president among other activities is expected to inspect ongoing projects in the region, and cut sod for the commencement of road projects in the area.
On the Government’s Agenda 111, the president will inspect projects in Lambussie after which he will cut sod for the construction of the Nandom Town Roads.
He is also scheduled to pay a courtesy call on Nandom Na and later have a radio interview.
The president, Nana Akufo-Addo will on Tuesday, August 23 pay a courtesy call on Isa Na and use that opportunity to inspect works on the Agenda 111 in the constituency and also the Wa Shopping Centre in the Daffiama-Bussie-Isa Constituency.
He will end is Upper West Regional tour with a vist to Kaleo and Wechiau to commission the Kaleo Solar Power Project in the Nadowli-Kaleo Constituency and further inspect Agenda 11 projects.
The president is expected to depart to Damongo, the capital of Savannah Region.
Before the President’s visit, the leadership of the New Patriotic Party in the Region threatened to boycott the president visit as they took a position not involve themselves in the Party activities. They accuse the Regional Minister of sidelining them in the planning process.
The party later resolves all grievances as the leadership of the party urges all members in the region to give full support to the President’s visit.
