Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has committed to lead a fundraising drive to raise enough resources for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP)’s agenda of registering all its members.
Dr Bawumia made the pledge during a visit to the party headquarters on Wednesday, November 9th 2022.
According to the Vice President, he is committed to leading this fundraising exercise to enable the party regularise its membership registration and bring it in-line with modern practices.
The New Patriotic Party is planning to register all its members in a new exercise to enable the party obtain accurate data and help with membership analysis.
The Vice President also pledged to help raise funds for the party membership registration, especially with the registration of Polling Station Executives, Electoral Area Coordinators, Constituency Executives, Regional Executives and National Executive Commmittee.
The Vice President noted that ministers, members of parliament, appointees, patrons and other party supporters will be contacted to support the fundraising exercise.
Dr. Bawumia also thanked the national officers of the NPP for the cordial reception and congratulated them for their respective electoral victories during the National Delegates Conference in June this year.
The Vice President said his singular drive right now is to help his boss, the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, to carry out his mandate as President of Ghana.
He also outlined some of the major policies he spearheaded like the implementation of the government’s digitalisation agenda,the Sino-hydro deal which has led to the actualization of face lifts of roads and interchanges, paperless ports, the enhanced mobile money interoperability, one constituency one ambulance, among others.
The National Chairman on his part praised the Vice President for his visit and urged him to continuously support Party activities and assured him of the Party’s unalloyed support to government.
