Flagbearer hopeful and for Former Member of Parliament for Mampong Francis Addai Nimoh has blamed the National Security for the heckling incident Involving President Akufo-Addo at the Global Citizens Festival.
According to Mr. Addai Nimoh, the National security if they were on top of their job could have averted the occurrence over the weekend at the Black Star Square.
Speaking on TV3 morning show, the former Lawmaker asked what the National Security was doing to have allowed this to happened.
“What was the National Security doing? Why couldn’t they pick the intelligence?” He asked on the New Day show with Johnnie Hughes on Tuesday September 27.
President Akufo-Addo over the weekend was booed by some patrons of the Global Citizens Festival, a spectacle that did not bode well for the president,
He was at the event to deliver a keynote address but that did not go well with the patrons who were there heckled the president through his speech.
He spoke about the government of Ghana’s involvement in eradicating poverty and upholding national unity.
“Ladies and gentlemen, I extend a hearty Akwaaba, our word of welcome, from a very hospitable people. To all of you, who have come from afar and wide, to our vibrant city of Accra, Ghana’s capital, to join us on this great occasion,” the President said at the event amidst the heckling.
