Bawumia Graces Borbor Mfantse Akwanbo Festival

Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia graced the 2022 ‘Borbor Mfantse Akwanbo’ Festival held by the chiefs and people of Mankessim over the weekend.

Dr Bawumia on 10th September 2022, appeared as a special guest of the paramount chief of Mankessim, Osagyefo Amanfo Edu VI, to grace the ongoing festival.

Vice President Bawumia commended and urged Nananom to continue with their exemplary role as agents of development and pressed on the subjects to play their part to achieve the cohesion for Ghana’s growth.

The Veep took to Facebook on Sunday, September 11th 2022 to express his sentiments over the visit.

“I joined Osagyefo Amanfo Edu VI, Paramount Chief of Mankessim, traditional leaders and the people of Mankessim for the 2022 ‘Borbor Mfantse Akwanbo’ Festival on Saturday, 10 September.

“I commended and urged Nananom to continue with their exemplary role as agents of development and pressed on the subjects to play their part to achieve the cohesion for Ghana’s growth.” Bawumia wrote.

National Fitness Day

Earlier on Saturday, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia lead the first-ever national fitness day walk in the capital, Accra.

 Dr Mahamudu Bawumia charged Ghanaians to embrace regular physical activity to improve their physical and mental well-being.

Thousands of Ghanaians joined the Vice President for the walk with other notable dignitaries in attendance including the Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, Minister of Youth and Sports, Mustapha Yussif, former boxing world champion Azuma ‘Zoom Zoom’ Nelson and many others.
