Bawumia, First Lady, Mahama And Other Dignitaries Storm State House For Funeral Of Jospong’s Father

A slew of top dignitaries in Ghanaian society have converged on the State House in Accra for the funeral of the late father of the Executive Chairman of the Jospong Group of Companies, Joseph Siaw Agyepong (Jospong).

Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, first lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo and former President John Dramani Mahama are part of a high-profile cast of attendees at the ongoing event.

Other dignitaries in attendance include former President John Agyekum Kuffour, Speaker of Parliament, Honourable Alban Kingsford Sumani Bagbin, Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu, Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, Trade and Industry Minister Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten, Assin Central Member of Parliament, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong and Chief of Staff, Mrs. Frema Opare.

Other high-ranking government officials, MPs, members of the diplomatic community, other political heavyweights, some prominent chiefs and queen mothers, the clergy and sympathisers from the general public were all in attendance.

Opanyin Samuel Kwame Agyepong died in June at age 98, after a short illness.
