Former Ashanti Regional Aspirant for the NPP Chairmanship position, Chairman Odeneho Kweku Appiah (COKA), has promised Ghanaians of freedom from hardship within the next two years as the NPP’s policies finally come to fruition.

COKA promised that the next two years are going to be so fruitful that Ghanaians would happily retain the NPP in the 2024 elections and lead to the execution of their ‘breaking the 8’ agenda.

Speaking in an interview with Nhyira Fm in Kumasi, Chairman COKA said: “We shall definitely get to the Promised Land before 2024. Let’s all bear with the government and contribute our quota towards the economic recovery agenda,” he said.

“I’m telling you that whatever it takes to break the 8 is being worked on…By the next two years you see me here we will be talking about our third term victory. We’re doing everything to avoid apathy that affected us(NPP) in 2008.” he added.

The immediate past Kwabre South constituency Chairman of NPP also said Ghanaians have their own roles to play when it comes to getting the economy back on track, such as patronising made-in Ghana goods and stop trading in dollars thereby placing too much pressure on the cedi.

He said: “We all have a role to play as far as the cedi depreciation is concerned. Our Businessmen and women need to stop trading or buying dollars in their transactions in order to reduce pressure on the dollar,”

COKA added: “Let’s all focus on made-in Ghana goods if we’re really determined to fight the cedi depreciation war.”
