Akwasi Addai Odike, Founder and Leader of United Progressive Party(UPP) has vowed not apologize to chiefs of Kumasi.

The Businessman cum Politician said he is unfazed by the threats and intimated his readiness to square off with anyone after an attack on his office on Monday.

In an interaction, Mr. Odike said “People who are after my life, how can I apologize to them? They want to kill me so why should I go on my knees and beg them? He asked.

He continued that, he is not looking forward any reconciliation and that he ready to face the wrath of the chiefs.

“That portion is past and gone. No reconciliation. The battle lines have been draw, I have to take good care of myself and see how the police will assist me in terms of security.”

Mr. Odike recently incurred the wrath of Manhyia and Chiefs of Kumasi for what they term as a distasteful comments  on the role they play in illegal mining.

He made these comments on a Oyerepa FM, a Kumasi based radio station. In an interview with Joynews on Monday, he said the attack on his office by taskforce from Manhyia Palace is a vindication of his stance against the chiefs.
