Social commentator and Managing Editor of the National Forum newspaper, James Kwabena Bomfeh, alias Kabilla has urges President Akufo Addo to reshuffle his appointees.
He says while he believes some of the appointees have performed to his satisfaction, there is more work to be done in some areas.
The regular panelist on Peace FM’s flagship show, has joined the thousands of people who are still calling on President Akufo-Addo to reshuffle his appointees.
However, the President has already indicated that he has no cause to reassign, reshuffle or sack any of his appointees.
“Many of them for me have done outstanding work. Their output has been considerable, and that is what I look at. If the output measures expectations, then I don’t have any strong reasons to heed the call,” he has indicated.
The president made these comments during his recent tour to the Ashanti Region when he was interviewed on a local radio station.
But Kabilla insists there must be a reshuffle “not because they have caused problems but (because) they have not been able to find solutions”.
“If you are able to reshuffle some of your appointees, it will help the situation not because they have caused problems but perhaps they have not been on top of finding solutions; that is critical. Mr President, you are an action man, let there be a shakeup for all to know you are in charge. You are doing well but not all is well,” he pointed out while contributing to a panel discussion on Peace FM’s morning show ‘Kokrokoo’.
President Akufo-Addo has been accused for shielding his underperforming cousin, Ken Ofori-Atta, who is the current Finance Minister.
Many Ghanaians have called for his to be sacked or voluntarily resign for the current financial crisis the country is facing.
How these calls have fell on death ears as Ken Ofori-Atta continue to lead the Finance Ministry.
