The former Deputy Minister for Communication, Nenyi George Andah, has been tipped as the next communications director of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Sources close to the party say Andah has been chosen as the next communications head of the party, beating off competition from three other party bigwigs – Kamal-Deen Abdulai, Dennis Miracles Aboagye and Richard Ahiagbah.

His appointment will soon be officialised.

The choice of Andah is seen as a move by the party in service of its ‘Breaking the 8’ agenda.

The New Patriotic Party has privately and publicly expressed frustration with some communications gaffes on its part which has hamstrung the party in touting its successes.

Andah is seasoned communication and marketing expert, credited with turning around multiple brands during his time in the corporate world.

Profile

George Andah is a Corporate Marketing and Communications Strategist who made his name in the corporate world working with huge brands such as Guinness Ghana and MTN before transitioning into politics.

He was educated at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology where he graduated with a BSc in Biochemistry, following up at the University of Ghana Business School.

Andah worked as a marketing communications specialist at MMRS Oglivy, Brands manager for Guinness Ghana Limited and as the Head of SG-SSB’s newly minted ‘Sika’ Card Centre.

He joined Scancom Ghana Limited, a member of the MTN Group, as Chief Marketing Officer, where he was voted by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (Ghana) as the marketing practitioner of the year and again as the best Chief Marketing Officer with the MTN Group.

Andah is the founder/CEO of Rudder Solutions and a founding member of OccupyGhana.

The former Awutu Senya West Member of parliament is married to Yaa Asantewaa Barning-Andah with whom he has four children.
