The General Secretary of the NDC Johnson Asiedu-Nketiah popularly known as General Mosquito has opened up on his political future for the first time.

It has been rumoured that Mr. Asiedu-Nketiah has the ambition of challenging the national chairman of the NDC, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo for that position.

In view of that several big wigs in the NDC including current deputy general secretary, Dr. Peter Boamah Otokunor, former national propaganda secretary Fifi Fiavi Kwetey as well as Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah are lacing their boots to take over as the General Secretary.

After 17 years as the chief scribe of the NDC, Asiedu-Nketiah has announced that, he will no longer go for the secretary position.

He indicated that he is either going for the chairmanship or retire from active partisan politics.

This brings to an end all speculations about his political future.

Asiedu-Nketiah will go down in history as the longest serving General Secretary of a major political party.

“I will not contest the General secretary position of the NDC; I either go for National Chairman or retire” ~Asiedu Nketia.
