The Minister of Lands and Natural Resources , Samuel Abu Jinapor says Ghana’s enviable democratic credentials makes it the best destination for investment.
Mr. Jinapor assuring investors said, the rule of law is the norm and not an exception in Ghana.
“With a stable democracy, spanning over thirty (30) years, peaceful elections and successful change of government from one political party to another, investors are assured of the protection of their rights, regardless of the outcome of national elections, ” he said.
Mr Jinapor who is the Member of Parliament for Damango in the Savannah region said, Ghana’s respect for rule of law is enviable.
“Anchored on this business- friendly environment, the government of Ghana continues to adopt policies to improve transparency in the industry, beneficiation and value addition, upstream and side-stream linkages and to ensure a win-win situation for both investors and host country. ”
He added that, “In the last few years Government has has prioritized improving the business environment through regulatory reforms, to reduce bureaucracies and bottlenecks associated with doing business in the country. “
The Minister was giving a keynote address at the 20th edition of the African Down Under Conference held in Perth Western Australia on 1st September, 2022.
It was attended by several Ministers from Africa and Australia, representatives from Governments; the Ghana High Commissioner to Australia Australia High Commissioner to Ghana, Representatives from the private sector; Captains of Mining Industry, Member of the Diplomatic Corp and Media.
