The Member of Parliament for Buem, Mr. Kofi Iddie Adam has held a two-day orientation programme for all the newly elected branch executives of the opposition National Democratic Congress NDC in the Buem Constituency of the Oti region.
Mr. Adam, who has held various positions at the national level of the NDC including National Youth Organizer and Deputy General Secretary believes the orientation was critical in positioning the new executives towards victory in 2024.
“Two days orientation workshop for the newly elected branch executives has ended successfully. I appreciate all who made this all important exercise a success. Preparation for Victory 2024.” he posted on his facebook page.
Many analysts believe, in view of the eight year electoral cycle and coupled with the current economic challenges, the NDC is very likely to win the next presidential election on December 7, 2024.
The party is however not taking anything for granted. It has just conducted branch elections in parts of the country and the process is ongoing in the remaining regions. That will be followed by constituency, regional and national executive elections.
The ultimate is the presidential primaries, which many tipped former president John Mahama to win. He is however facing a challenge from former Finance Minister Dr. Kwabena Duffuor.
Dr. Dufuor is rolling out the ahotor project which seems to give direct support to the party members at the grassroot level.
