Angry residents of the Atwimah Nwabiagya South Constituency of the Ashanti Region angrily hooted at and chased off their MP, Emmanuel Adjei Ahwire, after a recent visit to the area.
The residents were appalled at the poor state of roads in the constituency and poured at their anger on the legislator who was in town for his ‘Talk To Your MP’ tour.
Video shared by GhOne Tv on Twitter shows the heated moment the Member of Parliament was chased away in his posh car.
Honourable Ahwire paid a call on the people of Kobeng on the latest leg of his tour to ask them about issues affecting their lives.
The angry residents did not allow the event to go on, chasing him off completely out of anger.
They reportedly threw items at him as well to register their displeasure.
His security team had to whisk him away and restore calm in the community.

Reacting to the incident, Honourable Emmanuel Adjei Ahwire said he understands the anger of his constituents due to the lack of development they are facing.
He blamed the global crisis caused by COVID-19 and the war in Ukraine for his inability to secure developments for the area.
The MP added that despite that, he has presented his people’s concerns to Roads and Highways Minister, Honourable Kwesi Amoako-Atta.
Suame Residents Chase Off Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu
In a similar incident, residents of Suame attacked their Member of Parliament, Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu several weeks ago over failed promises.
Mensah-Bonsu faced an attack during a working visit to the industrial enclave as angry artisans hooted at him, and chanted war songs to register their displeasure over what they described as a lack of infrastructural development in the area.
Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu had to be whisked away by his security team to escape harm.
