The Minister of trade and the presidential hopeful, Hon. Alan Kyerematen has been summoned before the NPP steering committee.
This comes a week after a health walk dubbed ”Aduru wo so” health organized in his name has generated debate over comment made by Hopeson Adorye, organizer of the health walk.
In an interview variously shared, Mr Adorye is alleged to have made comments that brings the name of the party into disrepute.
A letter signed by the general secretary of the New Patriotic Party, Justin Kodua Frimpong states that, the party frowns on such comments and as such is hauling Mr. Adorye before the National Complaint Committee as stated in the part of code.
“Subsequently, the attention of the National Steering Committee of the party was drawn to these instance during the committee’s meeting on Monday, August 15, 2022. The committee resolved that Hon. Ekow Vincent Assafuah and Mr. Hopeson Adorye be invited to appear before the National Complaints Committee as provided for in the party’s code of conduct. ”
The statement continue ” Additionally, under the instructions of the National Steering Committee, Mr Alan Kyerematen has been written to in respect of the ‘Aduru wo so Health Walk’ that was organized in his name.”
The party further reiterate it’s resolve to ensure discipline ahead of the upcoming flagbearer election within the party.
