Former Member of Parliament for Kumbungu constituency, Ras Mubarak has hinted of his return to serve as an MP for the area.

He made his intentions to contest again known through social media post on his facebook page.

Ras Mubarak who served as Member of Parliament (MP) from 2016 to 2020, described  the challenges of the Kumbungu as enormous. Owing to this, the Constituency needs an MP like him who is experienced, competent and dedicated to the cause of the people of Kumbungu.

“Eyes on Kumbungu constituency. The enormity of the challenges we face requires MPs with experience, competence and dedication to the cause of the people and Ghana as a whole. Let’s do this together for God and Country,” he wrote.

He added that he would hit the campaign trail in February given that the parliamentary primaries are scheduled to take place on May 6, 2023.

Ras Mubarak remains a formidable contender for the parliamentary seat and is expected to give others vying for the position a good competition.
