It was all smiles and laughter when National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Johnson Asiedu Nketiah humorously and lightheartedly praised Archbishop Charles Agyinasare for converting one of the NDC’s “bad boys” in the person of Sam George , Member of Parliament (MP) for Ningo Prampram into an elder.
Explaining at the Perez Chapel International Sunday, January 8, 2023, why the NDC had chosen the church as the place to give thanks to God for the how far he has brought the party, Mr Asiedu Nketiah joked that for being able to make Sam George into an elder, the NDC found the church a good choice for its thanksgiving endeavour.
“NDC has a lot of very good boys and girls and very bad boys and girls. So whilst we were looking round, we realized that there was a particular church that has picked one of our bad boys and converted him into an elder. So we knew that at Perez Chapel, everything is possible. That was one of the considerations,” he said jovially.
“The other consideration was that the nation is in crisis, and we need courageous and fearless men of God who will speak up, and we looked around and realized that there is this Archibishop who admonishes the NDC strongly when he considers that we have done something wrong and when he realizes that others too have done something wrong, he speaks up and so that is why we chose Perez Chapel International.”
Newly elected National Executives of the party were at the Perez Chapel International to thank God for his goodness and mercies on the NDC for the past year. National Chairman Asiedu Nketiah, General Secretary Fiifi Kwetey and several others were in attendance
