President Akufo-Addo has dismissed his minister of state at the finance ministry, Charles Adu Boahen with immediate effect.
Vice President Bawumia had earlier called for the dismissal of the minister after he made some damaging allegations against the Vice President that he would accept an appearance fee of 200,000 dollars and position for his siblings as a token for a foreign investor to establish a business in Ghana.
Adu Boahen was speaking with undercover investigators from Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ Tiger Eye PI who posed as business tycoons trying to establish a business in Ghana.
The investigative piece will be premiered at the Accra Interdenominational Conference Center later this afternoon and tomorrow.
A statement signed by the Director Of Communication at the Presidency, Eugen Arhin said the president took the decision after speaking with Adu Boahen. The matter has also been referred to the office of the special prosecutor for further investigation.
