The Deputy National Organiser of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Chief Biney, has given notice of his intentions to picket at the office of the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
Biney plans to storm the presidency on Friday, October 28th, 2022 for his protest.
According to him, the protest is solely to draw the attention of the Vice President to the worsening economic hardship plaguing Ghanaians.
In a notice to the Accra Regional Police Command, Mr Biney who is a National Organiser hopeful indicated that the exercise will be peaceful.
“As required by the law, your protection will be welcomed to ensure that lives and property are protected,” Mr Biney said.
In additional comments, Biney said the President, Nana Akufo-Addo, is not a listening President.
Chief Hamilton Biney said the President has ignored even his New Patriotic Party (NPP) members over their calls for a ministerial reshuffle.
“The president, for me, is not a listening president because even if you have your own party people telling you to do what we call reshuffle because they think that some ministers or members of government are not performing, and you come out to say that those people talking are NDC or because they want work to do… forgetting that when he wanted to be president, he almost went on his knee,” he stated.
