The National Organizer of the NDC says the Party will put the interest of its grassroot members first should they come power in 2024.
According to the firebrand member of the National Democratic congress, the party will not make such grave mistakes as it did in the past after what the NPP has shown in government that party foot-soldiers come first.
According to him, the welfare of party members matter just like the government and as such they will ensure party member benefit from the government.
Mr. Akamba who was speaking on Ultimate FM in Kumasi assured party grassroot of their commitment to seek their interest when the party wins power in the 2024 elections.
‘‘The ordinary foot soldier on the ground is so intelligent, that is why I am saying that and I am repeating myself again, I am waiting for the NDC to win power and let somebody, I don’t want to insult and let someone tell me that go and bring your certificate before you are given a job’’
‘‘go to the branches and find out the people contesting in the branches, who have asked them for their certificate, before they gave them the power, party matter is also government matter’’ he said.
‘‘Party matter is a government matter, listen double who is holding guns and shooting people, are you aware of him, when he was dragged before that commission (Ayawaso Wuogon Commission) he said he was a phone repairer, do you know how many days it takes you to fix phones, party matter is government matter and I mean it’’
He added that, the requirement of certificate will be a thing of the past as that wont be an issue when they win power.
“That nonsense as a country must stop, how many people have degrees’’
‘‘book knowledge doesn’t work abroad’’
‘‘Do you know that it’s the technical people and people with skills, the carpenters, the masons, the steel benders, the truck pushers, were the ones that drafted the constitution, didn’t the lawyers run away?’ he quizzed.
‘‘So now you are waiting for our government to come to power and people will come and accuse us again, no never.’’
