Presidential Staffer and former Municipal Chief Executive of Akuapim North, Dennis Miracle Aboagye has hit back at Sammy Gyamfi and Edem Agbana over what he called trivialities.
According to Mr. Aboagye, the president copying from his own notes into the book of condolence of the late Queen Elizabeth II do not warrant the harsh words used to described the president by the communication officer of the NDC, Sammy Gyamfi.
In a facebook post, the presidential staffer said, there was nothing wrong with what the president did as Sammy Gyamfi would want portray.
He insisted that, even the President of the United States did same.
“My Brothers Sammy Gyamfi and Edem Agbana have been busy on twitter and Facebook calling Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo names for transcribing his own written statement into the book of condolence.
“Joe Biden, the Super power president of the United States, copied from a note as well into the condolences Book. There’s absolutely nothing unpresidential about that. Of course, the NDC won’t know this cos when they had the chance, they could not do it.”he said.
Referencing a gaffe by the former President John Dramani Mahama during his speech at 2015 ECOWAS summit, the smooth communicator said, he will prefer the president copying from his note to the former president who disgraced himself at an international platform.
“I will Always prefer a president who spends time to look at his speeches and notes and makes sure he has them when he needs them, than one that will be standing aloof on an international stage asking for his speech.”
He added, “I have always insisted, our opposition are lazy and weak and have no alternatives to offer to our serious economic developmental agenda and for that reason, always want us to spend our time on the trivialities.”
Below is the statement that necessitated the response from Dennis Miracle Aboagye.
