164 illegal miners have been arrested in a dawn swoop by the military at Enyinam and Mampong.
This comes at a time when issues of illegal mining have become topical with the return of Galamsey kingpin Aisha Huang.
The 164 illegal miners are from Togo, Mali, Burkina Faso, Cote d’ vore, Nigeria, Benin and Ghana.
