Supreme Leader and President of Tijaania Muslim Council of Ghana, Sheikh Khalifa Ahmed Abdulai Maikano Jallo showered praises on Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for the commitment of the NPP government to develop the Prang township during their tenure in office.

The Supreme leader said no government in history has developed the area like the ruling government and thanked President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for fulfilling their promises.

“Previously, it seemed we were not part of Ghana but now we are part of the country,” Khalifa Maikano expressed appreciation to Dr Mahamudu Bawumia during a visit to Prang for Jummah Prayers on Friday, September 9th 2022.

Khalifa Maikano rattled off the series of developments his area has seen under this government that is unprecedented in their history.

“People even joke that President Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia have turned Prang into their hometowns. Why do they say so? It is because they have given us a district, they have given us water, they have given us an ambulance and they are building a hospital for us.

“I am not singing their praises but I am saying things that have happened, which everyone can see and attest to. As for the mosque (which Dr. Bawumia built) it is right in front of you and you can all see it,” he said.

Elaborating further, he expressed contentment at the fact that Akufo-Addo and Bawumia visited them for prayers before their election and promptly returned after they won to express appreciation.

“Nana Akufo-Addo and his running mate were here to introduce themselves to us and to ask us to pray for them. And when they won, they came back to express appreciation. This has never happened,” he said.

He added that due to all the aforementioned, his people will continue to support the NPP on the way forward.
