A slew of prominent Ghanaian personalities in the political and media space turned up at the Cedar Mountain Chapel in Accra on the evening of Thursday, September 8th 2022 for the burial service of Mrs Justine Avle.
Citi Fm journalist Bernard Avle’s wife was laid to rest for the final time after her shocking death in August.
The high-profile attendees at the event included Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, former President, John Dramani Mahama, Information Minister, Mr Kojo Oppong Nkrumah and the Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare.
Others include National Communications Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Sammy Gyamfi and Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa together with other legislators and dignitaries.
Colleagues in the media space such as Managing Director of Citi Fm, Samuel Attah-Mensah popularly called ‘Sammens’, Kafui Dey, Umaru Sanda, Bola Ray and Philip Osei Bonsu (alias OB) were also seen at the event.
Award-winning journalist and General Manager of Citi FM and Citi TV, Bernard Koku Avle lost his wife Justine Avle a month ago.
Justine Avle died in the evening of 3rd August 2022 after a short illness.
According to reports, her shocking demise occurred while the journalist was readying himself for Point of View.
Sources indicate she collapsed and was pronounced dead on arrival at a health facility.
Mr. Avle who is the host of the Citi Breakfast Show on Citi FM and Point of View Show on Citi TV married Justine in a beautiful ceremony in 2011.
Justine is survived by her husband and 4 kids.
