Government has revealed that embattled illegal Chinese miner Aisha Huang, used forged documents to enter the country.
This is contrary to the claim by Ghana Immigration Service claim that she entered the country through unapproved route.
In a revelation by the spokesperson of the National Security, Palgrave Boakye Danquah, the country has been aware of the Chinese and were pursing her all along.
“for us as government, we are aware that she entered with illegal documents; forged document which do not represent the names.
He added that “But because of how good our security services are, we had to follow her to be sure that she was the same person that was deported out of the country.”
“Over several weeks, we monitored her and got to know that she entered into the country with false documents.”he said.
Commenting possible prosecution, the spokesperson said, Aisha Huang will face the full rigour of the law.
Aisha Huang has been remanded into police custody by the Accra High Court together with other suspects.
Earlier report suggested she entered the country through neighboring Togo’s land border, a claim that has been debunked.
Attorney General has requested for dockets on the case and has signaled its preparedness to prosecute her when investigations by the security agencies are completed.
