It has emerged that the notorious Chinese galamsey queen who was recently arrested was issued with the non-citizen version of the Ghana Card on 22nd February, 2022 which fell on a Sunday.
This revelation has got many Ghanaians talking as to how a Ghana card could have been issued on a Sunday.
Aisha had been a notorious galamsey operator who was arrested in 2019 and deported.
Even though many Ghanaians had prayed for her prosecution and jailing, then Senior Minister, Osafo Mafo justified the decision to rather deport her.
It came as a shock to many that Aisha had found her way back into the country unnoticed.
Subsequent information however revealed that she changed her name and entered Ghana through Togo into parts of the Ashanti Region where she has been engaging in renewed small scale illegal mining.
Checks further reveal that she has in her possession the Ghana Card. Interestingly enough, the date of issuance as indicated on the card in circulation fell on a Sunday, a day that the National Identification Authority does not work.
This leaves many to wonder how that was possible or even if the card is genuine.
Meanwhile, many Ghanaians are still complaining with the inability of the NIA to issue them with their Ghana cards after several months.
This is also coming at a time when the National Communication Authority has directed telephone service providers to start sanctioning people who have not been able to re-register their sim cards with the Ghana cards.
