Former Finance Minister Dr.Kwabena Duffuor has responded to the attacks by General Secretary of the NDC on his Ahotor Project.
Mr. Duffuor says he will continue to support the party and no amount of insults and attacks will stop him from helping the party build a strong foundation.
In a presser on Wednesday August 31, 2022, the former Governor of Bank of Ghana addressed party faithful.
He explained that the main aim of the project is to ensure the party have a strong foundation and according to him this idea is what he believe can help and hence the project.
“Our aim was quite simple; how do we strengthen the foundation to have a strong base? We had no other objective but to have a strong structure. Government is a serious assignment. We had no other objective but to strengthen our party. No amount of insult, attacks will stop me from what I want to do for you,” the former Governor said.
This presser comes after the NDC General Secretary, criticized Dr. Duffuor’s approach in distributing his Ahotor Project items to the various constituencies.
In an interview with the press, Mr Nketiah accused the Former Finance Minister of betraying the party.
“If Duffuor intends to make this donation to the party a genuine donation, he should be prepared to pass through the proper channel.”
He argued that, if the donations are meant for the party, it should be handed over to the party to do the distribution.
“…..that there is going to be an NGO to manage the Ahotor project, and we strongly object to that thing and we feel that we have been misled into launching, receiving the donation and assuring our people that the party will be handling this.”
