Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has Launched the Centenary Anniversary of Accra High School in Accra Earlier Today.
The School which was established at the Eastern Province of the Gold Coast (now Greater Accra) has churned out many illustrious and notable personalities and has also contributed to education in the country.
The Vice President in a congratulation message acknowledged some notable personalities who have helped sustain the school all these years.
“100 years in the life of a school is no mean an achievement, and I congratulate everyone who has contributed to the success of Accra High, from the founder, the late Rev. James Thomas Roberts, past headmasters, teachers, staff and students.”
The Vice President has assured of government commitment to education and will continue to champion development in the sector.
“Education remains at the forefront of our government’s development agenda, and we will continue to prioritize is to ensure we give equal access of education to all Ghanaians.”
Accra High School was founded by the late Rev. James Thomas Roberts on 17 August 1923. The school, is located at beach avenue in Accra, Ghana.
