The former General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has won the race to be chairman, unseating the incumbent party Chairman, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo.
Asiedu Nketia, popularly known as General Mosquito, polled 5569 votes out of the 8553 valid votes cast, representing 65% of the valid votes cast.
In the race to replace Johnson Asiedu Nketia, Fiifi Kwetey won the race, beating off competition from Elvis Afriyie Ankrah and Peter Boamah Okutonor.
