The Ghana Cedis today put up a strong showing against the US dollar and other major trading currencies.

According to the finance ministry, this is just the beginning of what we should expect in the coming days.

The signs of recovery shown by the cedi is as a result of the $750m Afroexim loan which hit government account yesterday.

With the expected Cocoa syndicated loan, the local currency is expected to make more recoveries.
