The black sheep of the NDC family, Koku Anyidoho, has predicted defeat for ex-President John Dramani Mahama in the 2024 elections.
According to Koku, the victory of former NDC General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia in the party’s Chairmanship polls is a nail in the coffin of Mahama’s 2024 electoral chances.
“If anyone thinks I have wavered on my convictions; the victory of Asiedu-Nketiah has handed a victory baton to NPP…the victory of Mosquito spells doom for the dead goat,” he said.
Anyidoho also took aim at people expecting him to keep quiet on issues he sees within the NDC just because Asiedu Nketia, who he predicted to lose, actually went on to win the election.
“I didn’t want Mosquito to win: he won & so I shd commit suicide? Ampofo didn’t want Mosquito to win; has he committed suicide? rubbish to say that I predicted a loss for Mosquito & he won so I shd keep quiet. How many of us have not predicted wins in our lives & lost?” he fired.
Asiedu Nketia stunned incumbent Chairman Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo during the NDC’s National Delegates Congress held Saturday, December 17th 2022 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Asiedu Nketia amassed a vote of 5,569 representing 65.1% of votes cast for the chairmanship slot ousting the incumbent chair, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo who polled 2,982 representing 33.81% of votes cast.
