Former Member of Parliament for Kumbungu, Ras Mubarak has chastised the Minority leader for alleged political interference in the constituency.
According to the former lawmaker, the Minority leader Haruna Iddrisu has focus on his constituency and leave Kumbungu alone.
His comment as a result of the upcoming constituency executive election of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
In a facebook post, the Real Travel Show host and former lawmaker, Ras Mubarak called out the minority leader for who is the MP for Tamale South constituency.
He has alleged that, there is a deliberate attempt by Haruna Iddrisu to meddle in the party’s upcoming executive elections in the constituency.
“Those who think they can sit in their constituencies and interfere in internal elections in other people’s areas should think again. Party elders have watched aloof for Haruna Iddrisu to create problems in the region.”he wrote on his facebook wall.
Calling Haruna Iddrisu, a coward, he alleged that, the minority leader has inquired about the executives who may belong to the camp of the former MP.
“You go about asking who’s Ras Mubarak’s candidate for constituency elections. It’s not smartness, it’s cowardice.”he added
He has therefore asked the Minority to concentrate on his constituency and leave that of Kumbungu alone.
In a strong worded caution, he told the minority leader he will not accept his interference claiming the NDC belongs to him as well.
“Others may take it lying down. I won’t. I take no prisoners. The party belongs to all of us. You would stay in your constituency and mind your business there. You want to control NDC by determining who gets what and where? Not in Kumbungu. Back off Kumbungu and mind your business Mr. Minority Leader.”he added.
The National Democratic Congress is preparing for its internal party elections.
